Get Your Free and Tailored AML Program From Us

LiteAML Foundation walks small accounting, legal, conveyancing and real estate businesses through their money laundering and terrorism financing risk assessment, then builds a compliant, AUSTRAC-aligned AML/CTF Program — at no cost.

A Simpler Path to AML/CTF Compliance

LiteAML built LiteAML Foundation as an AUSTRAC-aligned way to develop an AML/CTF Program, aimed at businesses that meet a specific eligibility test. Think of a two-partner conveyancing firm or a sole-trader accountant: Australian businesses in accounting, law, conveyancing, real estate, or trust and company services with fewer than 15 staff and a low-complexity risk profile. In practice, that means they do not regularly handle high-risk customers or high-risk products and services.

AUSTRAC's own Program Starter Kits are meant to help small businesses meet these obligations, yet they run to more than 300 pages of guidance, dozens of cross-referenced web pages and over 20 separate forms. For a small firm without a compliance officer, that is a lot to work through on top of a normal working week.

LiteAML Foundation offers a more manageable alternative. It guides business owners step by step, building a clearer picture of their ML/TF risks and the controls needed to manage them, then documents all of it in an AML Policy.

How It Works

LiteAML Foundation takes you through four straightforward steps. Answer the questions along the way, and it builds an ML/TF risk assessment covering your industry, customers, products and services, delivery channels and country exposure. At the end, you get a downloadable AML/CTF Risk Assessment document and AML Policy — comprising your AML Program.

1
Are you eligible
You will answer a short set of questions about the nature, size and complexity of your business. These determine whether LiteAML Foundation is the right fit under AUSTRAC's criteria. LiteAML Foundation sits at the entry level of our risk assessment and AML/CTF Program tools. If your business does not qualify, or you want a more complex solution, we can tailor your policies and risk assessment instead.
2
Enter company details (including risks)
You enter your company details: registration and address information, enrolment details, a description of your business, and your risk and governance structure. From there, LiteAML Foundation walks you through your risk profile in one connected step, covering four areas: your customers (their type, location, industry and behaviour), the services you provide, how customers come on board and transact, and the countries you deal with.
3
LiteAML reviews your AML/CTF Program
Once you have entered your details, LiteAML reviews your answers and calculates your overall ML/TF risk rating, combining the likelihood and consequence across your customers, products and services, delivery channels and country exposure.
4
Generate the AML/CTF Program
The last step generates your AML/CTF Program as an editable Word document. It summarises your Risk Assessment, sets out your AML Policy, your AML/CTF Compliance Officer's responsibilities, and your customer due diligence requirements, including identifying beneficial owners and screening for politically exposed persons. It also covers your ongoing monitoring, your AUSTRAC reporting obligations such as suspicious matter and threshold transaction reports, and your seven-year record-keeping requirements. The completed document is delivered straight to your inbox, ready to put into practice.

Why Small Businesses Choose LiteAML Foundation

Our team designed LiteAML Foundation to make AML/CTF compliance accessible, manageable and proportionate, especially for small Australian businesses facing these obligations for the first time.

Built for businesses with limited compliance capability

Picture a two-person real estate office where nobody has a legal background, let alone a compliance team. That is exactly who LiteAML Foundation is built for. Instead of dense regulatory language or open-ended questions, the platform walks through each step with plain-English prompts anyone can follow.

Built on AUSTRAC's own framework

This is not an overseas compliance tool with an Australian label stuck on it. We built it specifically around AUSTRAC's Program Starter Kit framework and the National Risk Assessment standards, so the methodology, program structure and documents all match what AUSTRAC expects.

A straightforward four-step process

LiteAML Foundation's four-step process takes you from risk assessment to a finished AML/CTF Program, without hours spent combing through materials. Whoever handles compliance can document it with far less effort, and a good deal more peace of mind.

Backed by financial crime risk specialists

We specialise in financial crime risk management and have supported regulated businesses across Australia and overseas for years. That background in AML/CTF compliance, risk methodology and regulatory expectations shapes everything in the platform.

Linkage with tools to support ongoing AML compliance

We can seamlessly integrate your AML/CTF Program into the LiteAML toolset, so you not only have the formal documents in place, but the tools and methodology to keep your day-to-day operations compliant. Our toolset is one of the most competitive on the market — reach out to learn more.
